Creative music and activism II: Can’t you break the walls with sound?
On Tuesday, 28 March 2023 at 6 p.m., A4 – Space for Contemporary Culture will host a panel discussion and listening session on whether and how contemporary music and club culture can act against extremism and hate speech in society. How can new, sometimes even radical artistic expressions in music sensitize the audience and thus encourage tolerance and open-mindedness? How effective can sound activism be? The debate will shed light on the background of activist and socio-critical approaches in new music, and we will also look at the power of underground community initiatives.
